We are set in L’Huilerie, Courdemanche, on the D64, it is a beautiful property dating back to 1834, a rural location, with fantastic views and perfect location for a relaxing holiday and great location to access the villages and towns of Sarthe.
L’Huilerie is a historic property set in its own grounds with a wonderful orchard with apple, plum, cherry, apricot, pear, walnut and hazelnut trees, we also have our own vegetable and herb garden.
There are a number of villages/towns close by, Courdemanche, 1.5km and La Chartre sur Loir 6km, (as well as others) where you will find the typical French bakers, cafes and bars, also there is a supermarket in La Chartre sur Loir, if you need essentials.
We are centrally located between Le Mans (40 mins north) and Tours (50 mins south), ideal location to explore the chateau’s in the area, local markets, vineyards, festivals, water activities great walks for hikers and a keen spot for cyclists.
If you have access to a car you can head off into the local towns, or maybe go a little further into Le Mans (40 mins North) or Tours (50 mins South) exploring the Old and New towns and enjoying the many restaurants, cafes and bars.
In the summer months there is a wonderful light show (after dark usually starting at 10pm) Les Chiminiers is worth a visit if you have never been/seen before.
The Lakes of Marcon is a favourite of people who want to enjoy the sunshine, there is a manmade beach with water sports and other activities.
